Jenine Bradburn

President

Jenine Bradburn has been registered as a Dental Prosthetist since 1994; however, she has been working within the Dental Profession since 1985 when she started her first fulltime job as a dental assistant in an orthodontic practice. Following her graduation from the dental technicians course Jenine was employed by Government Employees Health Fund (now known as ahm Dental & Eyecare practices) where she stayed for next 22 years. In January 2012 Jenine proudly opened the doors of the hills Denture Clinic and is thoroughly enjoying this new venture.

 

While working within multidisciplinary dental practice Jenine had the opportunity to work closely with other related Dental Practitioners, such as General Dentists, Periodontists, Prosthodontists, Orthodontists, Oral Surgeons, Hygienists and Dental Assistants, as an integral part of a Dental Team and gain a well-rounded knowledge of all areas within the dental field.

 

In August 1999 Jenine was elected onto the Executive Committee of the NSW Association of Dental Prosthetist’s and since then has held varies positions on the NSW committee. In August 2005 Jenine was also elected onto the federal Executive of the Australian Dental Prosthetist’s Association as secretary and she held that position of for 2 terms.

 

Abe Awakian

Senior Vice President

Graduated from Randwick College June ’84.

Registered as a Dental technician in July ’86. Worked at Dental Services, Sydney then Natural Ceramics, Neutral Bay till Dec 1988.  Established a commercial laboratory in Sydney’s west doing all aspects of commercial work. Undertook the Prosthetist’s course in ’91 and graduated in ’93 and awarded the inaugural ‘Phil Harris Memorial Prize’ in Dental Prosthetics.

Established a Denture clinic in’93 and still practising at that clinic.

Began part-time teaching in 2001 at Randwick and then full-time teaching in 2006.

Teaching students at Randwick in the Diploma of Dental Technology and students at Sydney Dental Hospital in the Advanced Diploma of Dental Prosthetics. Graduated in 2010 with a degree in Adult Education and Psychology.

Presently practising in private practice providing all aspects of denture services, including implant retained overdentures and involved in education on a more formal basis.  Currently Senior Vice President of ADPA NSW and Director of the national ADPA Ltd.

Completed the advanced diploma of dental prosthetics in July 2009

Served as student representative the as a committee member on the ADPA executive


 

Minoo Ramezani

Assistant Secretary

Minoo Ramezani was elected onto the ADPA NSW executive in 2007. She is the chair of the events sub-committee and responsible for the organisation of our calendars, newsletters and study group meetings etc. Minoo graduated as a Prosthetist in June 2006. She also teaches part time at Randwick Tafe.

 


Christiaan Claassens

Committee Member

Born in the Netherlands in 1964 and moved to Australia with my family early seventies. Completed High School at Christian Brothers, Manly.

Registered as a Dental Technician in 1996, and a Dental Prosthetist in 1988.  Student Representative on DPA Executive 1986-1988.  Whilst maintaining the minutes at executive meetings for several years.

Worked for many years at Concord Repatriation Hospital and a private practice on the Northern Beaches.

Opened up private clinic in Macquarie Street, Sydney in 2000 and moved that clinic to 276 Pitt Street, Sydney in 2004 called City Denture Clinic.

Appointed Examiner for the Dental Technicians Registration Board in 1996.  Appointed Chief Examiner in 2000 until 2007. Returned to the Executive Committee of ADPA 2004 as committee member, then as Vice President.  To become President of ADPA NSW in 2006-2008

Immediate Past President 2008-2011 and returning in 2011 as a committee member.

1996 Established North Shore Denture & Mouthguard Clinic (Both the Dental Laboratory and the Denture & Mouthguard Clinic continue to operate concurrently with a wide range of both clients and patients)

2000 – 2002 Conducted lectures in Australia and Japan on ‘New First Class Rapid Molar Distalizers and Rapid Expanders’
